There are also two other juvenile Coopers Hawks at the park. Possibly another parent. At least five birds of prey. That's a lot of predators. |

| The Cooper's Hawks really hate the Barred Owl, but the owl doesn't seem to care. Barred Owls don't migrate and are very territorial year-round once they establish a territory. This one doesn't care about the Coopers Hawks, so it's likely a young owl that has recently left its parent's territory to establish its own. The hawks do not want the owl to steal their territory, which is why they are so pissed at the owl. And while the two species occupy different hunting niches, Barred Owls are also known to pillage nests |
