Gallinipper. This oddly named mosquito has a body length of 0.5-1 inch long, getting up to 2 inches with it's legs fully stretched out! This one probably had a total length of just over an inch. It's native to the southeastern half of the US. It will lay its eggs on wet or dry land, which can stay dormant for years. The larvae will feed on other mosquito larvae and even tadpoles. Ultra Mosquito.

Non-biting Midge.

Pillbug
