This is a rare sighting around Chicago, so it was very cool to see one

Cool roots

Some very strange Hackberry bark. This tree is recognizable for its tall but narrow bark ridges, but this takes it to the next level. This is insane. Bark ridges that look like blunt thorns.

Some very thick Horsetails/snakegrass

Surprise Bald Cypress Swamp. Don't see that often in Meeman-Shelby
