Green Darner

Northern Paper Wasp

Back

On the ground. When dealing near wild wasps, do the following: do not provoke, make sure you don't step on their hive, and NEVER swat one. Swatting will be perceived as an attack, and wasps fight back. The sting also wafts pheromones that make other wasps want to sting you. This does not mean you should fear them, it means you should respect them as a civilization that evolved before us and will fight back. They are pretty awesome looking.
