Today, I got a new camera. To test it out, my Dad and I went outside at around 4.30 and took some photos. For most of them, I used a light that attaches to a camera lens. But for the Turkey-tails, we turned off the light and used a UV light. They all turned out pretty well!

Turkey-tails under a blacklight. Because the blacklight didn't provide enough light for the camera, I had to bump up the exposure in Photoshop. This is what I got and I think it's pretty cool! The blacklight made the Turkey-tails really cool.

Unidentified Polypore

We found these polypores growing on a fallen hackberry branch at bemis woods and brought them home. They've been doing pretty well.

Little Nest Polypores. This is the other polypores we brought home from bemis woods

Unidentified crust polypore

When I was little my Dad screwed some branches onto the grape trellis. These polypores have been growing on them for at least two years, possibly ever since Dad attached them to the trellis.
