Sagawau bird banding. The following two photos are at Greene Valley Scenic Overlook

Jumping Spider

Orange Sulphur

Mourning Dove with scattered white feathers. It is possible it has a albino ancestor and ended up with some white feathers. Similar things happen with Rock Pidgeons

Blue Jay and an awkward Red-bellied Woodpecker

Douglass the Common Snapping Turtle. He was rescued by Leslie (main bird bander and person who is holding him) as a hatchling 'cause it was late in the season and getting cold. Unfortunately, by the time he was big enough to get released he had gotten used to humans and could not hunt. When they put live  fish in his enclosure the fish would hide under his plastron (lower shell). Sometimes, so he can get exercise, Leslie will let him walk around in her office while she's working. While he is a good guy he WILL bite your finger off if you get it near his face. This is not aggression but is instinct. He is about 14 years old and will get a larger enclosure tomorrow.
