Either Pharaoh Cicadas mating or two females laying their eggs (cicadas use sharp ovipositors to insert their eggs in trees)

Valgus hemipterus, aka scarab beetle (but that common name is useless, considering there are 35,000 species in the scarab beetle superfamily, with 200 new ones being described each year)
